Chevrolet built 4,889 L78 Camaros for 1969, which accounted for 2 percent of production. Two out of every 100 Camaros or so built that year were high-horsepower L78 big-blocks.
From the day it was new, which factory records show was March 4, 1969, this L78 ’69 Camaro SS396 stood out as a special muscle car, which its succession of owners loved and preserved for over 50 years.
Today, this grand-prize Camaro SS396 has only 14,000 original miles on its odometer. Incredible and true! Was this tire-scorching Camaro a weekend drag racer, racking up those ultra-low miles one quarter mile at a time? That’s our guess!
Enter and you’ll be one giant step closer to making this classic Camaro dream machine the centerpiece of your garage. Veterans’ and children’s charities are counting on you so make your donation today to win!

This classic ’69 Camaro SS396 comes with a copy of its window sticker, its owner’s manual and a binder with receipts and engine-testing results.
The turnkey restoration included show-quality paint, a brand-new interior, engine-performance upgrades and 17-inch wheels and tires.
The big-block engine is a screamer. It features AFR aluminum heads, custom, hand-built stainless-steel headers and a Comp cam. It was dyno tested and we will provide the dyno sheets to the winner stating that it outputted nearly 500 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Of course, a Camaro with this much pavement-pounding grunt requires a higher octane number, so we have it filled up with premium fuel.
